Playing catch-up

It has been a busy time of year for us. Mike has been gone constantly. He got back from his school in VA and pretty much has stayed gone! Ethan has been in summer camp, and enjoying it. He has new kids in this class, so that has been good ... lots of boys. We have spent a lot of time with his "best buddies" carson and bella, which is a plus for me since their mommy is a dear friend of mine! We decided to purchase a house; the process was brutal, but the outcome has been awesome. After 3 months of nail biting and frustration, the house is ours! It is gorgeous and we have already been putting our touch on it. We had a mishap of painting (well Mike did, haha). What started out as touch up painting ended in us having to hire someone to paint the whole living room, because of the cathedral cielings. We are not doing too much painting, but still have the hallway upstairs and maybe something in Ethan's room. It is a slow process with 2 kids, a husband gone all the time and obligations left and right, but it will all eventually get done. In addition to summer camp, Ethan has been doing very well in karate! He has been doing sargeant at arms a few times (guarding the karate rink during prayer) and now has a stripe on his yellow belt; 5 more and he tests for orange. He starts t-ball this week, something he has been asking us for a while! Kaeli has been doing MyGym and loving it! She is so active and such a little tomboy. She loves the gymnastics parts of it the most, so who knows; maybe she will go down that road. We also started her in a mommy/baby swim class once a week. She is such a water baby and loves to put the life jacket on and lay back in the pool .. the only one in her class that likes it :-) I have been continuing my aerobics classes at the Y, something I really enjoy doing and feel so good about after! I also plan on joining an adult soccer league here next month. I am nervous, I have not played in 14 years, but so excited!!!! Plus, I think Ethan will get a kick out of seeing mommy play soccer. I go see the hand surgeon on Wednesday about my wrist (2 torn ligaments). Hopefully they will get this surgery scheduled and over with since I have been waiting so long already and my wrist is KILLING me! Mike is busy at work and missing us like crazy, but hopefully after these 2 weeks he will be home a bit more; for a while atleast. I have attached pictures for all to see. The kids are so cute and love each other so much! They have an awesome relationship, hopefully it stays that way :-)
