Ethan started PreK a couple weeks ago. He is doing great and really enjoys it. He is making lots of friends (and remembering their names). He is blessed with 3 teachers (1:5 ratio!) and they are all real sweet. Ethan is doing a lot in school and comes home with fabulous drawings every day; he is really honing his skills at drawing! He loves to draw his family and especially make us hold hands which is sweet. He recently learned how to ride his bike sans training wheels! He learned literally in a day! He was then turning, braking and even doing small pop-a-wheelies (as he calls them). He is a big helper and has started earning an allowance by feeding the dog and making sure he has water. We walk to and from school every day, weather permitting, and the kids really enjoy that. It is cute to hear him tell the crossing guard good morning :-)
I am getting ready for a trip back to VA to spend my grandmother's 80th birthday with her. I am very blessed to be able to do that; and grateful to my family for all their help and support! For those of you that will be in town for Grams' birthday, we will be taking Family Pictures on Saturday, October 3 at 8:30a.m on the beach. Please wear a black and white outfit. We will take a big family picture as well as individual and individual family pictures. We will provide everyone with a disc of pictures when edited. More information to come ....
I have had to postpone the wrist surgery for my torn ligaments due to complications I had with another surgery I had a few weeks back. I should be having wrist surgery in October when I get back from VA. I would really love to be pain free soon!
We have started family hikes every Saturday and each week we go to another place. Colorado has so much to offer and we love being able to take advantage of it all! The kids really enjoy it as well and I think Ethan especially has been soaking in the importance of nature and being outside and how important the Earth is. If he sees trash on the ground he will pick it up and ask why someone would want to make our planet sick .. it is cute. Kaeli does her thing chilling in the hiker pack taking in the fresh air, free ride and all the snacks her tummy can hold. Here are some pictures of our recent hikes:
