Family Day @ Mt. Trashmore

We went to Mt. Trashmore and took Ethan's little 4 wheeler. He rode it all the way up the hill and down the other side!

Daddy flew the kite .. Ethan did not have much interest in it. I think he was just glad to have an open place to ride his 4 wheeler!

We took some bread to feed the ducks and they went crazy! The swarmed all around us. We would have taken a picture, but our camera was on Ethan's 4 wheeler in the middle of about 50 ducks and geese! There was a little girl that came over so we gave her some bread to feed the ducks too. Ethan had a great time, but he didn't get to feed to many because Mike and I were just trying to throw the bread as fast as possible because the geese were getting a bit agressive! It was a lot of laughs though ... for everyone around us too!

At one point (I think frame 6) we lost him. He needed a snack to get through the remainder of the game. :)

6 YEARS OF MARRIAGE

Here we are ... six years later. We have a beautiful family and are constantly dealing with the trials of life. We love each other deeply and Ethan really adds a wonderful dynamic to this family. They were right when they said a baby changes everything!

Mike's career is going along well. He will be reenlisting in November, during deployment. It is a scary decision, but one that we feel is necessary and best for our family. He will also be graduating with his bachelor's degree in December ... we are very proud!

We have chosen to go traditional with our wedding gifts. It is a neat way of keeping things interesting and you definitely have to put thought into it. Thanks to Google! 5 years was wood so we planted a dward magnolia tree in the front yard so for 6 this year, Mike got me an iron plaquard to put next to it stating what it was and when it was planted. One of my favorite gifts to date! I got him a branding iron for the grill :) Mine was not as cool, and Mike let me know it for about a week! :)

OUR FAMILY TREE

The first bloom this year came on the day of our anniversary and it was 2 flowers for the 2nd year it was here. I thought is was pretty cool.

July 2006 - Ethan loves riding ponies. We are renting ponies for his birthday party ... it will be lots of fun and I am sure there will be lots of pictures!
