Our Day in Denver

For Kaeli's actual birthday, we drove up to Denver and went to the museum, which was awesome, and then took mom and john to Casa Bonitas. For those that don't know, it is a Mexican restaurant with cliff diving, arcade, bad acting skits, a haunted house and a bunch of other cool stuff. The mariachi band sang Happy Birthday to Kaeli (which sounded cool in Spanish) and then we got the kids their caracture done and Ethan got to whack the pinata. It was great fun.

Side note: We were at the museum and instead of having animals captive (most they couldn't anyways) they have these awesome lifelike recreations inside of huge glass cases. I was trying to get Ethan to stand next to this huge grizzly and it was so life like he goes "Holy Sh*t, I am not standing next to that bear!". I know I shouldn't have, but I laughed, as did everyone else! So I got a picture of Kaeli and Mike instead ;-)

Kaeli had an awesome birthday! She got lots of baby dolls .. and tried to steal their pacis and bottles :-) She also got a stroller, for her babies and some adorable clothes! Thanks to everyone who made her birthday special, and to those of you from far away who remembered her and wished her a happy birthday with cards and phone calls. It was a great 1st birthday for her and one that I know she will love the pictures looking back! Here are a few from her present opening.

Bad mommy for laughing! HA I would have laughed too!!! That is SO funny. It sounds like y'all had a really great time. You always have such fun family adventures, especially the Polar Express! I LOVE that adventure!

I would've laughed too! What did you think of Casa Bonita? I've been trying to get there forever, but we always seem to go somewhere else when in Denver. Have you been to the Children's Museum? We went for the first time last weekend, and it was so great! 2 floors of things Abby could touch and play with. She was in heaven!

Wow...that place sounds like so much fun! I have never heard of it. I can't belive that Ethan said that. I would have laughed too. Then later been like...ok..Jesus doesn't want us talking like that! Isn't that one of the hardest things to explain? Time to pull out the bible! Vic had to read Moses to VJ the other day to explain how taking someone elses candy is STEALING! OMG

Girl, shame on you for laughing! J/K - it's pretty funny, despite being wildly inappropriate. Sometimes my sternness gets blown to bits by the humor of a situation, too - Haha! Kids!

Looks like a fun time for Kaeli's b-day. Sweet baby! I cannot believe she is a year already... Wow.

Love and miss you Chickadee!
