So I took the kids to Walmart this morning. Ethan was being a big help and we were getting done quite fast, when we were in the shoe aisle looking for shoes for Kaeli (she is a size 4 now!) and this elderly woman comes up and starts talking to Kaeli and commenting on how cute she is, and then (unlike most) directs her attention to Ethan and starts asking him questions about him liking to skateboard; she overheard us talking about it. While he is talking to her, he is fidgety, as usual and talking a mile a minute, as he does, and she looks at me and says "My, isn't he a fidgety one" (and mimics him). Then she goes "A.D.D. huh?" and I said "NO, he is 4!"
What is wrong with people thinking a kid has A.D.D. just because he has a lot of energy!? Not to mention, he was excited that she was listening to him because he has a million little stories in his head! Oh well ...

Girl, strangers take a LOT of liberties when it comes to commenting on our children... Try to let it go. YOU don't need anyone to validate YOUR children :) Love you!
Grrrrrrrrrrr!!! Great job handling yourself!!
Aw, don't pay attention to that woman. That was very rude of her to do. Your Ethan is just fine the way he is!!!
What?! How come people think they can diagnose that in a 10 second meeting? Maybe she's just heard the phrase and was trying to sound "hip"!
You should have said, "Busybody, huh?"
