Will it ever end?

I just hosted a playdate and I felt bad for this one woman coming over because I have heard some of the women talking about here before (I know, childish .. but it happens a lot here!) Anyways, before she got here one of the other moms said something about her coming, nothing blatantly nasty .. just the tone she used. I tried to defend her and said, she is different .. but I think she is nice. I have only met this woman at one other event and she is definitely out there! ANYWAYS ... she comes over with her 2 daughters, one that just kind of doddles around and does not speak (I think she is almost 2) and the other is 4 and a TOTAL NIGHTMARE! She was jumping off my couch, stealing toys from my 10month old, eating toffee all through my house even after the 10 times I told her to stay in the playroom, going into the back bedrooms (with said toffee and sticky fingers), pulling Ethan by the shirt, pulling him off the couch by his feet, hit him on the head with a bowling pin, hit him for turning the light off .. the list goes on and on. Then the mother goes "Why does Ethan think you hit him?" .. the little girl danced around the question and in the end was left alone. The second time it happened her mom said "Why does Ethan think you hit him?". I was so annoyed by this point I piped up and said, "Because she did!". Then her daughter barrels into the living room and jumped so hard into the recliner that it flew back and her legs kicked the glass side table knocking it over and everything on top of it! I lost it. I finally yelled and said, "Out of my living room NOW!" My friend was like, Yes, all kids out of the living room and back in the playroom. After being told what her daughter did, the mother said "are you sure they have to leave the living room? IS THIS WOMAN CLUELESS!? First, when she came in I had to ask her to take their shoes off (even though it is snowy and muddy outside from the melting snow). Then they are finally leaving and she comes back in to use the bathroom and instead of taking her shoes off, walks through my house with muddy feet. I just mopped yesterday, so now I don't have to just sweep like I do after a playdate, but I have to mop as well as wash the carpets in the bathroom from her muddy feet! ARGGGGGGGG. I am so aggrivated right now at her lack of respect for my house and her kid not being disciplined. Ethan is no saint, but I surely do not dismiss his actions when inappropriate!

It left me wondering, will this playdate ever end?

LOL! Frustrating, I'm sure... but funny when it isn't me ;) Love you!

LMAO!!! I KNEW who you were talking about as soon as I started reading! I looked it up in the calendar, and sure enough! She's definitely strange. At that first playgroup (the only time i met her), she tried to get me to uncover while I nursed Cora!
