Kaeli's Ear Update

Some of you know I have been to the doctor NONSTOP since we moved here! Between Ethan and his stomach issues in the beginning, both of them showing signs of allergies, and now Kaeli's ears. I took her in almost 2 weeks ago for pulling on her ear. It lasted a couple days before I took her in because I thought she was just discovering her ears and likes playing with them (Ethan always played with mine when he was a baby ... I guess they feel funny). Something told me it was more than that, and low and behold, her right ear had fluid behind it .. no biggy, no redness. We gave her oral antibiotics for the 7 days and around day 5, she started tugging at her right ear still and also her left ear now! Being the holiday weekend, I put a call into the message service and they fit her in today. She has the same ear infection (fluid) in her right ear from the original diagnosis and now her left ear is red and pussy! I got to see in there too, poor Kaeli! They went straight to giving her the antibiotic shot in her legs and I follow up in 3 weeks. I have to take her back before then if she develops a fever, but if I take her back in 3 weeks and there is still an infection, or if she gets another one again soon they want to put tubes in her ears. She has been asleep ever since she calmed down from the shot .. it knocked her out! Finally after 3 days of not napping, she is getting some rest. I will update ....
