Updates .. It's been a while!

A friend of mine inspired me to get back on the blogging horse :-) A lot has gone one. My grams turned 80, so the kids and I flew to VA to spend her birthday with her and my sisters and I threw Grams a nice party with all her fam and some of her closest friends. She loved it, and we felt very lucky to spend it with her! We celebrated Ethan's 5th birthday in VA since it was a few days away and he got to have all his old friends there. Ethan is doing wonderful in school and has made quite an impression on his teachers. The things out of his mouth on a daily basis are quite comical and keep us in stitches! I am in the process of making an "Ethanism" book online for him when he grows up; a book of pictures with his funniest "Ethanisms". Kaeli is quite the spit fire! She is all girly with a dash of attitude and is quite hilarious! She loves to say hi to everyone as she passes and is doing amazing at My Gym! We are pretty sure we will be enrolling her into gymnastics when she turns 3. She loves to dance and tumble, and is pretty good at it!

This Thanksgiving we were lucky enough to be invited by a new friend for dinner. We were not able to travel to see family or have them in CO, so it was a nice treat to be with some new friends and meet some others as well. It was a wonderful Thanksgiving! Very glad we did it! Thankfully my mom, sisters and their families will be joining us for the Christmas holiday! We are so excited and cannot wait for them to all get here! I am sure it will be a week of chaos, but enjoyable chaos .. right?! :-)

The kids enjoyed setting up the Christmas decorations this year. It is crazy how it went from Mike and I doing it, to having kids and them doing it! Ethan was very into assembling the tree by himself this year and then he and Kaeli put the ornaments on; Kaeli did the angel this year - as they will take turns each year. Mike and I finally got around to decorating the outside of the house as well. Something I have always wanted to do, but neither of us was "motivated" enough; maybe having kids old enough to enjoy it was what we needed :-) Either way, it is done and all of us are excited about turning the lights on at night.

We will be celebrating Kaeli's 2nd birthday a little early this year, because she won't know the difference and we really wanted her to have some family. Since everyone is coming for Christmas it seems the perfect solution. She is obsessed with Elmo and Abby Cadabby, so Sesame Street birthday it is! I just cannot believe she will be 2 in 2 months! Our baby won't be a baby anymore .. no more kiddos for us, so we are going to enjoy watching them become these little people!

Happy Holidays to all of you!
