What a great little boy .

Sometimes I wonder how I got so lucky! How God felt that I was special enough to have such a beautiful family.

Ethan amazes me every day with his words and his progression, his growth and maturity. He has quite a little attitude (but look at his parents!) Yesterday he was telling me this story that just went on and on and on. After I said, Wow Ethan ... that is a heck of a story! He goes "yeah, I talk a lot!" It was just so sweet that I was cracking up at how bright he was to get what I was trying to say in my nice mommy way :-)

Both Ethan and Kaeli have had a bit of stomach issues. Ethan being older deals with his better than Kaeli ... she is really whiney and sad and wants to be cuddled a lot! Being the sweet boy that he is goes to her and says "It's okay baby doll, Ethan's here" .. my heart melted! He has been a trooper with his stomach pains and being poked by doctors and having blood taken and pooping in a "hat" so we can take samples. All along, he never complains, just asks me to lay with him and rub his belly! Yesterday we were discussing him being the ring bearer in his aunt mimi's wedding, and at first he didn't want to do it. After some discussion, he is really excited about it and when we started talking about the party after I asked if he was going to dance with mommy and he proceeded to put me in my place and say "no, I am going to dance with mimi, I love she!" ... what!? Even still, I love my little boy! He is a handful and there are times where I have to give myself a timeout, but there are more moments of me just wanting to eat him up he is so awesome!

His latest obsession ... Power Rangers! He loves them so much. He wants to be power rangers for halloween so we went ahead and got him a costume. It came in the mail and you would have thought Santa was standing in front of him! He yelled and got so excited and said "I can't believe the mailman brought me my power rangers". He wore it immediately running around the yard fighting "bad guys" and making them come over to me and say sorry for being "bad guys". It was precious! Today he put it on and was doing his karate moves in front of Kaeli and she was CRACKING UP!

I love my kiddos. Watching their relationship come together, staying out of the way so they can bond .. take care of one another and let Ethan be her big brother. I love it. He takes his role very seriously and loves to make her feel better, console her, take care of her and play with her. When she does something new, he feels as though it was him who taught her and we don't take that away from him. We tell him what a wonderful brother he is and how lucky she is, and vice versa. When she looks at him, she just glows .. as if she already knows how much he loves her and cares for her and how lucky she is to have him. Their relationship is so special, it is just amazing to watch!
